| Bio: | I'm 23, Male and recently made the cross-country journey from my lifelong homestead in Vancouver to take up roots in Montreal and I have to say, it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Accompanying me on my cross-country trek were my fantastic and incredibly understanding wife ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} chrysten (who just a few years ago already made the trek from a small town in Nebraska to Vancouver just to be with me) and one 12 year old cat named Felix that is not in the least a fan of flying.Maybe you ask yourself "Why in god's name would someone move from Vancouver to Montreal in the middle of winter?" Well, the short answer, an unbeatable job opportunity. I'm now working as a Publicist for the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group (MMGG) located in the Kahnawake reserve just outside Montreal. The MMGG was founded by Olympic Gold and Bronze medalist, Kahnawake native and all around cool guy, Alwyn Morris and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Bodog online gaming brand in North America. Needless to say, working as a Publicist in the media relations field for a company in the gaming industry is not without its ups and downs, but it sure keeps you on your toes and there is never a dull moment. Being in Montreal and 2000km away from family has been a really interesting experience and feels, for the first time in my life, like I'm actually living independently, and it is fantastic. Since having moved to Montreal Chrys and I have also become, for the most part, financially secure enough to be able to live a comfortable lifestyle and be able to really start enjoying and experiencing all that life has to offer. It won't be long before our debts are paid off in full, we'll be able to start putting more money away and we'll be able to start seriously thinking about buying a house and starting a family. Overall, life is pretty damn good right now, but with that being said, there is one thing I'm lacking with having just setup camp in a new city, friends.
